Clearwire Communications/ Branded Jacket
Clearwire needed to source custom employee apparel for upcoming product launch events.
Clearwire Communications is a leading provider of high-speed wireless Internet services to consumers and businesses. In late 2009, the company was working hard towards the expansion of their 4G CLEAR™ network, and wanted to make sure their team looked professional for upcoming launch dates in major metropolitan areas.
With some 4G rollout dates scheduled to occur in the dead of winter, Clearwire decided that a branded winter jacket would be a great way to outfit their sales team. For help sourcing a jacket that would meet their exact specifications, Clearwire teamed up with ePromos.
ePromos worked with an overseas manufacturer to ensure the custom apparel was delivered on-time and in accordance with Clearwater branding specs.
To create the custom jacket, ePromos leveraged extensive overseas sourcing experience. The ePromos design team was responsible for translating the client’s needs to ensure that all functional and aesthetic requirements would be met by the manufacturer.
Clearwire was originally skeptical about the lead times involved with sourcing custom apparel, but these concerns subsided when ePromos located an overseas manufacturer that committed to delivering the jackets in less than 45 days! ePromos was also able to get the manufacturer to source custom color fabric which was dyed to match the client’s corporate color scheme.
An overwhelming success! The winter jackets arrived on time for the launch events; employees were thrilled with the quality and design.
In the end, the employee jacket campaign was an overwhelming success. Jackets were drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer to major markets where launch events were taking place. The eye-catching promotional apparel created a sharp, professional look for the company’s employees, who had nothing but great things to say.
Clearwire was thrilled to get the custom products they needed at a price they could afford. The jackets are still used often and continue to deliver valuable returns long after the initial investment.
